Dancing praises, telling stories

Liturgical Dance

Dance is a way of expressing your gratitude for what God has done. It is a language that speaks to the soul. Our goal is to give God the praise as we worship him in dance. The Dance Team Lead is responsible for leading God’s people into God’s presence through praise and worship in dance and ushering in the Holy Spirit through ministering in dance. 2 Samuel 6: 14, “And David danced before the Lord with all his might, wearing a priestly garment.[a] 15 So David and all the people of Israel brought up the Ark of the Lord with shouts of joy and the blowing of rams’ horns.”

Sign Language

As we adhere to the great commission to go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature, we find that for some, it takes more than the lips to praise God. We can praise God with our whole being, just as in dancing, we can praise him by using sign language. There may be many that are audibly challenged but still have to communicate. If we can use sign language in our daily lives, we can praise God just the same. “Sign Language is God’s gift to the Deaf. They want to talk to God and to tell others about God. Praise and worship sign language is a form of Christian interpretation that uses American Sign Language (ASL), or British Sign Language, to communicate the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus.”
